This… this can’t be real, right?
Today my Anthropology professor (who is originally from Kenya and has a very captivating, story-teller kind of voice) said to us:
"You didn’t choose to be born white or black. Boy or girl. Short or tall. You didn’t choose to be prone to cancer or illness. But if that’s what the universe gave you, that’s it. You can sit down and cry about it. Or you can do wonderful things in spite of it. This is called transcendence. Life is beautiful."
